Hills East's Sari Strizik is a recipient of the President's Gold Volunteer Service Award, that was started by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation in 2003 as a way to thank and honor Americans who, by example, inspired others to engage in volunteer service.

The Half Hollow Hills FIRST Robotics Team recently hosted their 8th Annual Robotics Invitational, where Long Island's future science and technology leaders and innovators gathered to build their STEM skills in a fun and exciting robotics competition.

The Institute of Creative Problem Solving for Gifted and Talented Students at SUNY College at Old Westbury recently announced that seven Half Hollow Hills Central School District students have been accepted into their program. They are among the 85 students selected this year who will pursue the study of mathematics and its applications.

The students in Half Hollow Hills have been creating cards with special messages and carrying out collections to show our veterans and active military personnel how thankful they are for their service and sacrifices.

The Otsego PTA hosted an International Night that celebrated the school's rich culture and diversity.
