Two Newest Advanced Placement Courses Thriving In Half Hollow Hills

Students at Hills East and West have shown great interest and success in AP Seminar and AP Computer Science Principles, the two newest Advanced Placement courses offered by the College Board. During the 2018-19 school year, Half Hollow Hills offered AP Seminar for the first time; students from the district out-performed peers from across the state and globe on the AP exam. As the AP Computer Science Principles class rolls into its fourth year in the district in 2019-20, the number of students enrolling in the program has increased by almost four times the original amount from 2016-17.

Students Raise Money For Program That Benefits Children With Cancer

Congratulations to Hills West's Emily Sullivan, East's Gianna Tantillo, and St. Anthony's Julia Johnson for presenting a $4350 check from their successful “Fit for a Cause” fundraiser at Innovative Kickboxing to KiDS NEED MoRE, a non-profit that enhances the lives of children coping with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
