Hills on Stage
“Hills on Stage” is a district-wide 5th grade theater program sponsored by the Half Hollow Hills School District. Inspired by our former Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Sheldon Karnilow, and developed to support the district’s initiative of creating a “close knit” community, “Hills on Stage” is now in its fourteenth year of existence. This wonderful endeavor brings together students, teachers, parent volunteers and professionals from all walks of life in our wonderfully diverse Half Hollow Hills community. Fifth grade students from each of our five elementary schools rehearse each week on the Broadway-like stage in the Eugene Orloff Auditorium at High School East from September throughout the beginning of February.
Many parents have told us that Hills on Stage is a turning point for so many students who participate. For many, it marks the beginning of a love for theater and stage acting. The best experience ever.
Hills on Stage 2025-2026 proudly presents the production of Nickelodeon's, "The SpongeBob Musical", Youth Edition!
