School Closure Extended Until April 29
Governor Cuomo has extended the closure of all schools in New York State until at least Wednesday, April 29, 2020. At that time, the state will reassess whether to extend the school closures further and continue to suspend the 180-day instructional requirement.
All activities and events scheduled at our buildings during this time are cancelled or will be postponed. In an effort to help slow down the spread of COVID-19 and limit social gatherings, all Half Hollow Hills outdoor facilities (playgrounds, fields and tracks) are also closed.
In addition, the New York State Education Department (NYSED) announced the cancellation of the June 2020 NYS High School Regents Examination Program. This applies to all Regents Examinations scheduled for the June 2020 testing period. NYSED has adjusted the examination requirements that students must ordinarily meet in order to earn diplomas, credentials, and endorsements so that no students will be adversely impacted.
Please continue to practice social distancing during this emergency closure to protect yourselves, your families, and our community at large. Visit our Health Services webpage for the latest developments.
