Congratulations Congressional App Challenge Winners Shameed Job and Krish Malhotra!

The Congressional App Challenge is an initiative of the U.S. House of Representatives, where Members of Congress host contests in their districts for middle school and high school students, encouraging them to learn to code and inspiring them to pursue carriers in computer science.  Congratulations to our High School West students Shameed Job and Krish Malhotra for creating an app that was a winner!

Congratulations HSW DECA Members!
On January 8, 2020, thirty-seven HSW students competed in the DECA Suffolk County Regional Competition which was hosted at Suffolk Community College in Selden, NY.  The HSW students competed against approximately 1600 students from 26 Suffolk County high schools.  A total of 23 HSW students earned trophies for their performances and an additional 3 HSW students earned Honorable Mention.  Please congratulate the following students:

Congratulations to HSW Senior Aditya Sehgal!

Aditya is one of 25 New York State high school seniors that were nominated by the New York State Depart of Education for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program.  The Presidential Scholar recognition is one of the nation’s highest honors for high school students.

Congratulations Jordyn Levy!

Congratulations to Jordyn Levy for being named a High School All American soccer player by the United Soccer Coaches Association.  This is the highest award a high school soccer player can be given.  Only 59 high school girls around the United States earned this honor. Jordyn is the first in High School West history.
