RECENT RECOGNITIONS

Congratulations to Chloe Leshnower - Winning and placing in multiple history competitions!

Hills East Sophomore Chloe Leshnower recently competed in multiple history competitions. On April 14 at SUNY Oneonta, Chloe competed in the NY State Competition for National History Day in which her entry, “A Bright Golden Haze on the Meadow: Oklahoma! as a Cultural Turning Point in Broadway Musical History," earned her a medal, and 3rd place in the Senior Individual Performance category. On March 24, Chloe competed in the Long Island Regional Competition at Hofstra University and won the first place medal. Chloe was also the sole recipient of the Richard Mark’s Award for Outstanding Senior Entry on Local History! Congratulations on your achievements!

Congratulations to Victoria Lin - One of Newsday's All-Long Island Girls Fencing Team!

Congratulations to Hills East's Victoria Lin on being selected by Newsday as a member of their All-Long Island girls fencing team for 2024! Victoria placed 2nd at the Suffolk individual championships after a tightly contested final fence-off. Her 35-4 record includes an 87.5%-win percentage in league play, best among Suffolk epeeists.
