The UPK Lottery has been completed for the 2026-2027 school year. All applications
submitted by February 1, 2026, will receive a lottery number.
If you have not yet applied for UPK but would like your child added to the waitlist, you can apply by clicking the GREEN link at the bottom of this page.
Important Dates and Information Regarding the Half Hollow Hills UPK Process
February 1, 2026
Applications for the lottery were due by 3pm. Applications received by this date were included in the UPK Lottery. Any applications received after this date will be placed on a Waitlist.
February 10, 2026
All applications submitted by February 1, 2026, will receive their lottery numbers via email on this date. Placements will not begin at this time. This email will simply inform families of their place on the lottery list.
Early March 2026
The District will review proposals from providers and determine available seats.
The student placement process will begin. At this time, families will receive an email summarizing the available providers. Families will have an opportunity to share their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place preference of UPK provider. Placements will be made in lottery number order.
Please Note: The placement process will take time and continue through late spring. After all seats are filled, remaining families will be placed on a waitlist.
Families should not begin a registration until a placement has been confirmed in writing by the District later this spring.
