The Hills West’s Teen Animal Protectors Club recently wrote an appeal to the Town of Babylon asking for more precise language in town ordinances about leaving dogs and other pets outdoors in inclement weather. The town welcomed their advocacy efforts and invited them to a Town Council meeting to request new legislation to be passed.

The Animal Shelter Director and Town Attorney worked with the student group to propose a code amendment, and the Town Board will vote to adopt this change at its next meeting later this month
