Congratulations to Hills West research students Stephen Jones and Anushka Pandya on winning 1st place in the category of Medicine and Health at the Mid-Atlantic regional level of the 2022 American Chemical Society Chemagination Competition!

In their project called CrocDrops, Stephen and Anushka sought to create an effective treatment for dry-eye symptoms by enhancing current eye drops with Brown-Snouted Caiman (crocodile) tears, due to their chemical composition of soothing compounds.

The competition required students to imagine how current science and technology will be advanced in 25 years, and to design an innovation rooted in current scientific knowledge and technology that would improve the quality of our lives.
