Student leaders from Hills West and East recently attended a leadership conference called Compassion Without Borders that was sponsored by the Suffolk County Principals Association. The goal of the event was to give student leaders of Suffolk Country an opportunity to gain leadership experience while networking with their peers.

The students attended a presentation by Teen Truth and participated in workshops where they had the opportunity to collaborate with peers from different districts to brainstorm about what they can do in their buildings to bring students together and serve as mentors for their peers.
