As part of the Remember the Sky commemoration, students across Half Hollow Hills are helping create murals in each building that are inspired by the clear blue sky that filled New York on September 11, 2001.

Remember the Sky is a national initiative inspired by the 9/11 Memorial Museum artwork “Trying to Remember the Color of the Sky on That September Morning,” encouraging people to reflect on September 11 and share a moment of remembrance with a new generation.

Students were invited to write or draw something on a blue Post-it note, with the individual pieces coming together to create a collective sky of remembrance.
