Paumanok Fifth Graders Build Inukshuks to Bring Inuit Culture to Life

After completing their study of the Inuit, fifth graders at Paumanok created inukshuks using modeling clay. These stone figures, traditionally used for communication, navigation and survival, helped students connect culture, history and symbolism through hands-on learning.
