The students in Mrs. Cossell's classes at West Hollow set themselves up for a successful year by discussing their emotions, brainstorming how to manage them and recognizing what is in and out of their control.

 

After recognizing that their brains are like jars and their thoughts are like glitter, which sometimes gets all shaken up when they feel angry or stressed or upset, they created their own glitter jars to use as a tool to help calm themselves down and re-focus, with their minds settling just as the glitter does.
