Hills West Scientists Place At Chemagination Competition

Congratulations to our Science Research students from Hills West who participated and received awards in the 2024 American Chemical Society Chemagination Competition at St. John’s University! The competition required students to imagine how current science and technology will be advanced in 25 years, and to design an innovation rooted in current scientific knowledge and technology that would improve the quality of our lives.

Congratulations to our Science Research students from Hills West who participated and received awards in the 2024 American Chemical Society Chemagination Competition at St. John’s University! The competition required students to imagine how current science and technology will be advanced in 25 years, and to design an innovation rooted in current scientific knowledge and technology that would improve the quality of our lives.

 

Rachel Braverman, Benson Huang & Eryk Kaczocha won 1st Place in Medicine and Health with their project Kalirouna- The Future of Pain, and Erin Cahalane, Ava Esmond & Riley Schwartz came in 2nd with their project The Sixth Sense. Alexandra D’Alessio, Eliana Eisenberg & Malika Salehmohamed won 1st Place in Environment for their project Hydro Harvest, and Evan Deutsch, Rahim Sheikh and Alan Yu came in 1st in New Materials with their project An Electric Innovation.

 

1st place finishers will have the opportunity to compete at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Competition at Penn State in June.
