Hills West Hosts Alexander Aurrichio Memorial Holiday Tournament

The Hills West Basketball Booster Club sponsored the 2025 Alexander Aurrichio Memorial Holiday Tournament at High School West, welcoming North Babylon, Southampton, and John Jay of Brooklyn. Hills West defeated Southampton 72–56 in the championship game while honoring the legacy of Alexander Aurrichio, Class of 2008, a three-year varsity player, captain of the school’s first Suffolk County championship team, and whose No. 25 was retired in 2021.

Senior captain Vince Corso received the Alexander Aurrichio Award for hardest worker, and senior captains Jack Vafeas and Ethan Saintjean were named to the all-tournament team.
