Congratulations to the Hills East Science Olympiad team for its performance at the New York State competition, where the top teams from across the state competed at LeMoyne College. East placed 20th overall in its 19th consecutive appearance and earned seven medals.

East placed 20th overall in its 19th consecutive appearance and earned seven medals, including a first-place finish in Water Quality by Ian Kopf and Kaylee Kuhr. Additional medalists included Maryem Akyol (7th, Entomology; 10th, Anatomy and Physiology), Masroor Ayman (7th, Hovercraft), Sahar Khwaja (10th, Anatomy and Physiology), Ian Kopf (7th, Boomilever; 7th, Entomology), Aaron Liberman (10th, CodeBusters), Bangjun Pan (7th, Boomilever), Bangken Pan (7th, Hovercraft), Gabby Reisner (10th, CodeBusters) and Ian Selizhuk (10th, CodeBusters).
