Students at Hills East in Ms. Booth’s First Aid elective recently completed their study of the heart by creating detailed wooden models in the Makerspace with Mrs. Kaplan.

Students at Hills East in Ms. Booth’s First Aid elective recently completed their study of the heart by creating detailed wooden models in the Makerspace with Mrs. Kaplan.

 

Each piece was carved to show depth, then painted, stained and labeled with vinyl lettering and arrows to indicate blood flow.

 

Students finished by pouring epoxy resin into the chambers, bringing their learning to life through a hands-on experience.
