Hills East engineering students Syed Hassan, Noah Kay, Cole Weiss, Aisha Ouechtati, Stasya Selizhuk, Carly Lanksy and Avani Jairam traveled to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX, during April to present their work at the NASA HUNCH Design and Prototyping finals.

They presented on the floor of the Saturn 5 Rocket Room to NASA scientists, engineers, and astronauts in hopes of having their work incorporated into future Artemis space missions. Team members worked on software related to controlling autonomous robots on board the International Space Station and designed a greenhouse for growing bamboo as a sustainable building material on the lunar surface.
