AP Environmental Science students at Hills East recently completed the design and installation of the first-ever 'High School East Native Pollinator Garden,' thanks to a grant from ReWild Long Island.
The garden features native plants selected to attract local pollinators and will serve as a hands-on learning space for students to explore soil fertility, irrigation techniques, and ecological relationships.
While the garden is dormant for the winter, those interested in helping with maintenance this spring or sharing gardening expertise can reach out to Mrs. Watson.
