At the Suffolk County Chess Championship Tournament, the Varsity team of Sitabjo Bhowmick, Dylan Herath, Aahaan Sharma, Josh Gee and Hayden Weintraub captured 1st place, with Sitabjo tying for 1st individually, Dylan finishing 7th and Aahaan 8th, while the Junior Varsity team of Timothy Kogan, Justin Moss, Laurence Abrams, Oliver Greenberg, Sreenivasan Sriram and Kiaan Gosalia also claimed 1st place, highlighted by Timothy’s 1st place finish, Justin’s 2nd place finish, Hayden’s 4th place finish and strong performances from Sreenivasan, Laurence, Kiaan and Oliver, who placed 5th through 8th.
