Students in Mrs. Kaplan’s 6th grade Home and Careers classes at Candlewood Middle School hosted an International Culture and Culinary Day that brought learning to life.
Families shared lessons on Lebanon, Israel, Peru and Greece while treating students to authentic dishes including hummus, latkes with applesauce, lentils with rice and teropita.
The experience gave students a memorable way to explore global cultures together.
