Bill Kirwan Inducted To Suffolk County Coaches Association Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Half Hollow Hills retiree Bill Kirwan on his induction into the Suffolk County Coaches Association Hall of Fame as a Cross Country, Winter and Spring Track & Field coach! He was recognized by the Board of Education at their November meeting, and the board approved a motion to name the Hills East track in his honor.

 

Congratulations to Half Hollow Hills retiree Bill Kirwan on his induction into the Suffolk County Coaches Association Hall of Fame as a Cross Country, Winter and Spring Track & Field coach! He was recognized by the Board of Education at their November meeting, and the board moved to name the Hills East track in his honor.

 

Bill was a mainstay as a coach in our cross-country and track and field programs from when he was hired in 1973 to his retirement in 2007. He continues to volunteer with our track programs, well into his retirement, demonstrating his passion for the sport and his support of student athletes.

 

The Hall of Fame was created by the Suffolk County Coaches Association to recognize outstanding athletes, coaches, and officials in sports organized by Section XI.
