Third graders in Ms. Baptiste's class at Otsego deepened their understanding of culture by "visiting" Oaxaca, Mexico, through videos created by the RED Trunk Project.

Students then enjoyed getting a closer look at Oaxacan artifacts in stations, discussed what they learned and then created their own RED trunks showcasing their personal artifacts. 

The RED Trunk Project encourages students to Respect Every Difference, while making connections with other parts of the world, and students now have an appreciation for Oaxacan culture! Third graders across the district are participating in RED Trunk activities.
