Dr. Patrick Harrigan

Superintendent of Schools

 

Dr. Patrick Harrigan is the superintendent of schools for the Half Hollow Hills Central School District, charged with being the executive officer for the board of education and the unitary leader of the school district, with responsibility for its effective functioning.

 

He had previously served the children and families of Half Hollow Hills since 2005 as the district’s deputy superintendent, assistant superintendent for districtwide administration, assistant superintendent for secondary education and as assistant superintendent for research, assessment and special services.

 

Prior to joining Half Hollow Hills, Dr. Harrigan was the director of special education for Farmingdale Public Schools, principal at the Maryhaven School, and an assistant principal and teacher at the North Country Middle School in the Miller Place Union Free School District.

 

Dr. Harrigan believes strongly in the district’s mission of providing all students with opportunities to excel in academics, athletics, and the arts. His goal is to continue to develop the strong culture within Half Hollow Hills of equity and excellence, which translates directly to exceptional opportunities and outcomes for the children of the community.
