Board of Education Budget Development Public Work Sessions

Welcome

Developing the annual Half Hollow Hills Central School District budget is a complex process that demands careful analysis and thoughtful decision-making. To ensure true transparency, the Board of Education is starting these conversations early, openly sharing the financial pressures, revenue drivers, and challenges facing our schools long before a final budget is presented for adoption. Our core goal is to balance the exceptional educational programs our students deserve with our profound responsibility to the taxpayers who support them.

Through this ongoing series of Public Work Sessions led by Superintendent John O'Farrell and the district administration, we invite the community to follow along. You do not need to attend every meeting or understand every line item to stay informed; these sessions are designed to help residents understand the factors shaping our financial future and see exactly how and why critical budget decisions are made.
