They received a "Superior" rating, placed first in their division and placed first overall in all choirs for that day. Their score was the highest of all Junior High/Middle School choirs of the season and third highest of all choirs including high school! In addition, Isabella Sofroniou (grade 8) was awarded best vocal solo of the day. The Half Hollow Hills Music Department and Community are all very proud of this amazing accomplishment! Kudos to the West Hollow Concert Choir!
PTA Reflections Winner
High School West is proud to announce that 12th grader, Louis Pino, was a 2012 New York State PTA Reflections "Award of Merit" winner for musical composition in the senior division. Louis's piece entitled, "Night Man," was one of five "Award of Merit" winners at the national level! Louis studies music at the Juilliard Pre-College Division program and has been inspired by performing as a percussionist in Mr. Foti's high school band. Pictured above is Louis and Mr. Christopher Foti. Congratulations, Louis!
